The Highest Peak on Each of the World’s Continents

The 7 Summits are the highest mountain on each of the seven continents. This has become a renown mountaineering challenge, taking the climber to every corner of the world. From easy peaks like Kilimanjaro to the mighty Mt Everest, the 7 summits will test the endurance and abilities of even the most seasoned mountaineer.

The Russian Snow Leopard Award

The Snow Leopard peaks are the five mountains in the former Soviet Union over 7000m. Three peaks are located in Tajikistan’s Pamir mountain range, whilst the remaining two are located further north in the Tien Shan mountain range, bordering Kazakhstan, Kyrgystan and China. The Snow Leopard Award was an elite Soviet mountaineering award, given to climbers that summited all five of these peaks.
